About

Richard Bono is an assistant professor in the FSU Department of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Science. He also serves as the principal investigator of the Paleomagnetic and Geodynamic Evolution Modeling Laboratory. His research focuses on studying the Earth's ancient magnetic field, early core and dynamo evolution and habitability of Earth. He uses paleomagnetism, solid Earth tectonics, and statistical models to gain insight on the nature and evolution of Earth's magnetic field over geologic time.
